Steve Fowler, CPRP

Steve is the Director of Recreation - an administrative and supervisory position involving the responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating a recreation program for the Town of Parma. Steve’s focus is on the coordination of work associated with the department’s professional staff, as well as Parma’s community resources
Steve is a 1982 Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelor of Professional Studies degree from the SUNY College at Brockport. He is a member in good standing with the NRPA, an active member of NYSRPS and GVRPS, and Chapter Director for NYSCA.
Steve resides in Hilton with his wife and three children.
Jim Volkmar
Assistant Director of Recreation

Jim is the Assistant Director of Recreation and is responsible for coordinating the use of school district facilities, working with the youth sports programs, child and adult programs, several department special events, and sharing office responsibilities with the staff.
Jim has worked for the Town of Parma for 18 years and is the proud parent of three Hilton graduates who are all currently married.
Sherry Farrell
Recreation Leader

Sherry is one of the Recreation Leaders for Hilton-Parma Recreation. She is in charge of programming for youth and adults, but is always willing to take upon a new idea.
Sherry grew up in Hilton and completed her associated degree in Hospitality Management at RIT, is a current member of New York State Recreation and Park Society, and is an Associate Park and Recreation Professional. She has worked for the Town of Parma for 12 years.
In her spare time Sherry enjoys golfing, traveling, scrapbooking, and spending weekends with her family. She resides in Hilton with her husband Bob, and her two children, Morgan and Tyler.
Tracy LaFountain
Senior Programming Specialist

Tracy is the Senior Programming Specialist for the Hilton-Parma Recreation Department. She develops, plans and implements recreation and leisure opportunities for the adults and seniors within the Hilton/Parma community. She oversees the Monroe County’s Nutrition Program and supervises the kitchen staff, van drivers and senior volunteers.
Tracy has an associated degree in Travel and Tourism from Genesee Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from SUNY Brockport. She is a Certified Food Safety Manager (Level 1) and is a member of the International Council of Active Aging. Tracy has been the Senior Coordinator for 8 years with the Town of Parma.
Tracy enjoys spending time with her family, watching her kids play soccer, crafting, working on DIY projects and of course ‘blogging’ on the computer. She resides in Hilton with her husband and two children.
Sheila Steinorth
Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Sheila is a part-time administrative assistant for the Hilton-Parma Recreation Department. Her responsibilities include various office work, bill paying, etc. She had been working for the town for 8 years.
She is an Alfred State College Graduate. She enjoys traveling, word search puzzles, and spending time with her family.
Sheila has been married to her husband Rob for 31 years. They have one son, Brandon, a daughter-in-law, Christina, and a grandson, Noah.
