Town Historian

About the Town Historian New York State's education law requires the appointment of an official historian in every municipality. From 1967 until she passed away in 2004, Shirley Cox Husted served as that town official. Recently Tom Burger was appointed as the Town Historian. You can contact him at 392-2131 or tburgergen@aol.com The town historian's files are located at Parma Town Hall for security purposes. They include hundreds of pictures, a post card collection, maps and a wealth of historical data soon to be housed in a new location adjoining the vestibule now under construction. The historian's library of over 1,000 volumes is in the museum building, however, because of space limitations. See also...
