Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Mobile Unit

The DMV Mobile Unit is at the Parma Town Hall every Monday except holidays 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Any transactions done at a regular DMV Office can be done at a Mobile Unit.
  • There is no telephone access to the DMV Mobil Unit while they are at the Town Hall. Phone questions should be directed to the DMV toll free number – 1-800-225-5368

Freedom of Information (FOIL) Records Access

The Freedom of Information Law provides rights of access to records reflective of governmental decisions and policies that affect the lives of every New Yorker. Generally, the law provides access to existing records. Therefore, an agency does not have to create a new document in order to provide the requested information.

A Records Access Form is filled out by the individual requesting the information. If possible you should supply dates, titles, file designations, or any other information that will help find requested records. You may submit the form in person, by mail, fax or email*. All requests should be directed to:

Within 5 business days of the receipt of a written request for a record reasonably described, the agency must make the record available, deny access in writing giving the reasons for denial, or furnish a written acknowledgment of receipt of the request and a statement of the approximate date when the request will be granted or denied.

Fees
Copies - $.25 per photocopy up to 9 by 14 inches. A fee for copy of other records may be charged based upon the actual cost of reproduction.

Pavilion Rentals

The Town of Parma has four open pavilions available for rent in the Town Park, located at 1300 Hilton-Parma Corners Road (Rt. 259). The Application for Pavilion Use states the responsibilities of the requester (renter) and the Town’s policies for use of pavilions. The following highlights frequently requested information regarding rentals:

  • The rental fee is $60.00 for Town of Parma residents and $125.00 for Non-Town residents.
  • Pavilions are rented on a first come first serve basis and applications are accepted starting the first business day of the year you wish to rent in.
  • Pavilion size is 19’x36’ and seats 65 patrons. Total group size shall not exceed 125 individuals.

  • Hours: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm May 1st through September 30th and 9:00am to 8:00 pm October 1st through April 30th.
  • Submission of all forms (Application for Pavilion Use) and payment of rental fee will hold the pavilion, date and time.
  • Any special or high risk activities may require proof of insurance and/or prior approval from the Town Board.

VFW Rentals

The Town of Parma owns and operates the VFW Post 6105 Lodge located at 550 Peck Road, Hilton, NY. The Town of Parma V.F. W. Post 6105 Lodge Utilization Agreement states the responsibilities of the requester (renter) and the Town’s policies for use of the lodge.

The following highlights frequently requested information regarding rentals:

General:

  • Accommodations: A full service kitchen, restrooms, seating for parties up to 130 individuals, facility size - 3,328 sq. ft., and is air conditioned.
  • Rental times are: Daily from 8 AM to 11 PM, except most holidays. Rental times include any set up and clean up time required.
  • Alcohol: Beer, wine and wine coolers are allowed. No hard liquor. A special alcohol permit is required to be completed by the renter, in person at the Town Clerk’s office at the time of application.

Fees:

  • VFW 6105 Members (must show VFW 6105 membership card):
    • Contact the Town Clerk’s office for specific fees
  • All Other Renters:
    • All day: $250.00 + $100.00 security deposit
    • 4 hour (or less): $150.00 + $100.00 security deposit
  • Security Deposit: Upon satisfactory inspection of the lodge after the event, the deposit will be returned after the next bill paying session of the Parma Town Board (usually around the 15th of the following month).

Insurance:

  • Indemnity and Hold Harmless Agreement – required by all renters
  • Proof of General Liability Insurance Coverage – required by any organization which leases or uses the facility.

Reservations:

  • Lodge reservations are on a first come first serve basis and handled in person at the Parma Town Clerk's Office, Parma Town Hall, weekdays between 8 AM and 4 PM (Thursdays until 5:00).
  • Submission of all forms (Town of Parma V.F. W. Post 6105 Lodge Utilization Agreement) and payment of the rental fee and deposit will hold the date and time.
