Licenses

Dog Licenses

Any dog age 6 months or older must have a license. The dog owner must provide proof of rabies and proof of neutering (if applicable).

Fees: Amount Description
  $7.50 neutered
  $15.50 non-neutered
  $3.00 replacement tag
  $25.00 Purebred license
(up to 10 dogs + $3 surcharge for each non-neutered dog)
  $50.00 kennel license
(over 10 dogs + $3 surcharge for each non-neutered dog)
Fees for Senior Citizen 65 years/older:
  $2.50 neutered
  $10.50 non-neutered

FREE RABIES CLINIC - JULY 8
Monroe County Health Department in conjunction with the Town of Parma will be holding a Free Rabies Clinic. The location will be the VFW Hall (owned by the Town of Parma), 550 Peck Road, Hilton, NY on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

All dogs, cats and ferrets must be leashed or in carriers and must be at least 3 months of age. A special thanks to Dr. Millhouse, VMD for administering the vaccinations this year.

Marriage Licenses

If applicants are under 18 years of age, written consent of both parents is necessary. If either applicant is 14 or 15 years of age they must present written consent from a justice of the Supreme Court or judge of the Family Court having jurisdiction over the town or city in which the application is made.

If both applicants are 18 years of age or older, no consent is required.

Proof of Age/Identification
The following documents are required to support information submitted by marriage license applicants:

  • Birth Certificates or Birth Registrations with raised seals
  • Drivers License
  • Social Security Card

For previous marriages, the following is required:

  • Death Certificates or Divorce Papers

License Fee and Requirements

  • 24 hour waiting period
  • License is valid for 60 days beginning the day after it is issued
  • Any and all divorce decrees or certificates of dissolution of previous marriages are necessary
  • $40 license fee
  • $10 certified copy of license

These requirements are per the New York State Department of Health, Vital Records Section.

Additional Information Needed:

  • Social Security Card
  • Parent's names (mother's maiden name)
  • Country parents were born

Vendor Licenses

A vendors license is required for any person within the Town of Parma acting as peddler, vendor or solicitor.

Application Requirements & Fees

  • Copy of driver's license
  • Name and description of applicant
  • Address of applicant (local & legal)
  • Name of firm or company where employed
  • Address of firm or company
  • Description of motor vehicle used along with license number
  • Brief description of nature of business and goods or property to be peddled
  • Date and length of time desired for license

Fees:

  • General Permit (Annual) $250.00
    Door to Door Entire Town
  • Limited Permit (30 Day Maximum) $100.00
    Door to Door Entire Town
  • Stationary Location (Annual) $50.00
    Location Must Be Specified
  • Multiple Location (Annual) $40.00 each
    Locations Must Be Specified

Note: Some restrictions may apply and license may be revoked by the Town Clerk after notice and hearing for violators of code. If selling at a stationary location, written permission must be obtained from the property owner.

All annual licenses expire on December 31st of the year of issue regardless of then they were issued.
